You're a Herizon Alumni, right? What made you join the Growth Hacking internship program as a client company?

Yes, that's correct. I was in the same Growth Hacking cohort as Sini (our current GH School program lead) back in 2020. Since then, I’ve been freelancing in digital marketing and growth hacking through my own company. Despite this, I always knew I didn't want to go into consulting. Last fall, I got the idea for Arkiste, a portfolio service/visual LinkedIn for architects and other space designers.

We hired a designer for the project last December, and in January, we brought on a developer. This spring, we’ve been building the platform while I’ve continued with other projects. I realized I could get more done if I had some help. When Sini told me about the upcoming Haaga-Helia interns, I was more than happy to be part of it.

What's been your focus lately and where did you need help with from an intern?

Right now, our main focus has been figuring out where to find users for the platform. I've been thinking about how to monetize the platform and what kind of advertisers we could attract. We wanted to know and explore these aspects further.


Have you had any success cases in during this collaboration that you'd wanna share?

Anatoli, our intern from this program, has been a huge help in sourcing companies and educational institutions where our target audience studies. He’s been proactive; I didn’t have a clear idea of what and how to sell, but we're learning and trying to find relevant contacts along the way.

Anatoli identified potential partners, sent out messages, and secured two meetings, which were very promising. While we haven't closed any deals yet, we had valuable discussions that confirmed our platform is a suitable place for advertisers (though we still need more architects on the platform). Anatoli has been incredibly helpful.

Any last words?

Anatoli has been fantastic and has done his tasks well. Sometimes, you need to encourage them, and the most important thing is to keep doing tasks and not get stuck. Basic stuff, really.

Overall, it has been a great experience, and I would be open to taking on another intern. However, it does require some effort.

Olin samassa Growth Hacking -ryhmässä kuin Sini (GH-harjoitteluohjelmamme vetäjä) vuonna 2020. Siitä lähtien olen työskennellyt freelance-digimarkkinoinnin ja kasvuhakkeroinnin parissa oman yritykseni kautta. Tästä huolimatta tiesin aina, etten halunnut hypätä konsultointiin täysin. Palkkasimme projektia varten suunnittelijan viime joulukuussa, ja tammikuussa otimme mukaan kehittäjän. Kevään aikana olemme rakentaneet alustaa samalla kun olen jatkanut muita projekteja. Tajusin, että saisin enemmän aikaan, jos minulla olisi apuja. Kun Sini kertoi minulle Haaga-Helian harjoittelijoista, hyppäsimme mielellämme mukaan asiakasyritykseksi.

Mihin olette keskittyneet viime aikoina ja mihin tarvitsitte harjoittelijan apua?

Tällä hetkellä pääfokuksemme on ollut selvittää, mistä löydämme käyttäjiä alustalle. Olen pohtinut, miten alustan kaupallistaminen onnistuu ja millaisia mainostajia voisimme houkutella. Halusimme tietää ja tutkia näitä asioita tarkemmin yhdessä harjoittelijan kanssa.

Onko teillä ollut onnistumisen hetkiä ohjelman aikana?

Anatoli, harjoittelijamme, on ollut valtava apu yritysten ja oppilaitosten löytämisessä, joissa kohderyhmämme opiskelee. Hän on ollut aloitteellinen; minulla ei ollut selvää käsitystä siitä, mitä ja miten myydä, mutta opimme ja yritämme löytää relevantteja kontakteja matkan varrella.

Anatoli tunnisti potentiaalisia kumppaneita, lähetti viestejä ja sopi kaksi tapaamista, jotka olivat erittäin lupaavia. Vaikka emme ole vielä solmineet kauppoja, meillä oli arvokkaita keskusteluja, jotka vahvistivat alustamme sopivaksi paikaksi mainostajille (vaikka tarvitsemme vielä lisää arkkitehtejä alustalle). Viimeisiä ajatuksia? Anatoli on ollut loistava ja tehnyt työnsä hyvin. Joskus täytyy rohkaista, ja tärkeintä on jatkaa tehtävien tekemistä eikä jäädä jumiin. Perusasioita, oikeastaan.

Kaiken kaikkiaan kokemus on ollut erittäin hyvä, ja olisin valmis ottamaan toisenkin harjoittelijan. Tämä kuitenkin vaatii hieman vaivannäköä.
